Saturday afternoon

15
Last night may have been a bit better but sleep continues to be a challenge. This morning Bryan was sitting up. He had a banana and some cereal for breakfast. He doesn't seem to be hooked up to too much anymore either - even the catheter is gone.

There's talk of him possibly moving today (one step down from ICU - one nurse for three beds instead of one). This will be a good move as the ICU tends to be a noisy place with lots going on. Hopefully the new location is quieter. As mentioned earlier, visitors will still be limited to immediate family only.

Please keep on praying for rest for Bryan. Those of you that know Bryan, know that he doesn't like to sit still for too long. So it's quite uncomfortable for him to be confined to the hospital bed for so long. He's been getting some muscle spasms in his legs now too so please pray for relief in that area as well.

The nurses and doctors continue to say that Bryan is doing very well which we are so thankful for. Everyday we see little signs of improvement and we celebrate each of these baby steps. Thank you for your continued love and support. Your words of encouragement left on the blog mean a lot to Bryan and his family.

While I haven't met Bryan and Michelle, I know we're distantly related (Maryke is my dad's cousin). Anyway, just wanted to say that we've praying over here in Michigan and are thrilled to see how God is answering those prayers. We'll continue praying and trusting in God's goodness and faithfulness.

Praying for Bryan that God will bless the doctor's with wisdom on how to treat Bryan. Praying that Bryan will be able to get the rest needed. Praying for Michelle and the kids that God will give comfort and peace during this time of uncertainty. Praying God will surround your family and give you the strength you need to press on each day in Him alone.
Psalm 18:1-3a
"I love You, O Lord, my strength. The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold. I will call upon the Lord, who is worthy to be praised..."

Psalm 16:8 I know the Lord is always with me. I will not be shaken, for He is right beside me.

We are praying for all of you. That Bryan will rest well and easy knowing all that is, and is to come, is in the hands of God. For Michelle as you are between hospital and home holding things together. For the kids and extended family in so many places. May you feel God's peace and presence. love form the vos' tiebk

Paul and I, Gail and Mike and the girls at Rainbow Treasures are all ecstatic with the results of the operation and the recovery so far. We are all praying for the family and also that Brian can get some much needed sleep. Sleep is so needed for repair.

Give our best to all of them and tell them that they are in our daily thoughts and prayers.

God Bless you all and let his mercy continue in his role as the Good Physician.
