Sunday Update

11
Very little sleep was had by Bryan last night. He was moved in the middle of the night (still in the ICU) and the guy in the bed beside him is very loud. So that doesn't help at all with Bryan's sleep issues. His pain was also hard to control today. The nurses and doctors have been trying to wean him off his pain medication, or at least spread the doses out a bit, but they haven't been too successful. The pain seems to finally be better controlled this evening. It's still loud there though so let's pray that Bryan can have a good sleep tonight so he'll feel a little better tomorrow - he's really tired tonight.

The main prayer request tonight is for separation issues. Please pray for Bryan and Michelle's kids. They're having a hard time not being able to see their "Papa" for so long. Their lives have been turned upside down, and although they've been really good, it's been so hard on them. Today was particulary hard and when the kids are sad about not seeing Bryan, then it's not always easy for Michelle to leave them to head to the hospital again. Bryan too is having a hard time not being able to see the kids. Tomorrow marks two weeks since he's seen them and each day gets harder as he misses them more and more. So please pray for the family as they go through this difficult time of separation.

Prayers to you all during this unfair and terribly hard separation. Thanking God that Bryan has such a wonderful support team and what better motivation than a loving family. God Bless you Bryan, Michelle and children with a great sleep tonight.

It pulls on our heart strings to hear about this separation. We pray that from this day forward Bryan makes steady progress, gets out of the ICU and that God the Master Physician restores Bryan.
We pray too that very soon Bryan, Michelle and the kids will be reunited.
Stay strong, the power of prayer can move mountains!
Much love, Bryan, Katie, Emily & Ashleigh Flokstra

Bryan and Michelle,
Much strength and patience to you both as you continue with another week. Just know that your children are being held in the Father's palm each and every day as well. You are constantly in our thoughts throughout these days and we continue to pray for healing.
Love to you both,
Peter, Kris and the kids

We think of you constantly Bryan each time we look at our back yard! So you see, you are always in our thoughts. We trust you will get the strength to get over this hurdle and rejoin us with that big happy smile.

My name is Beth Jones, the Summer Camps Director for Camp Mini-Yo-We (I'm also good friends with Paul Paterson, Bryan's cousin). Bryan was our favourite landlord at the office in the church parsonage when we were there. I was so sad to hear about his health struggles. We will all be praying for him, Michelle and their kids. Please send him our love and greetings for a quick recovery with as little pain as possible. We know God has him and his amazing family in his loving care.
