Monday Update

18
Bryan had a really good sleep last night. When he woke up this morning, one of the first things out of his mouth was, "that was the best sleep I've had at the hospital ". So that was a good start to his day. His pain again was off and on. It was pretty intense around lunchtime and then again after dinner.

Michelle showed Bryan some of the blog posts today and he read some of the comments that have been left. He was a little emotional when reading it all - it's so overwhelming for him to realize how many people have been thinking about him and praying for him over the past two weeks. Thank you so much for the love and support you've shown to Bryan and his family. Please continue to pray.

Bryan was able to go for a few walks again today. He didn't seem to be as short of breath with that today. In true Bryan fashion, he says "hi" to everyone as he walks. He recognized different nurses and other medical staff that he's met over the past two weeks. They all remember him and love him and are happy to see him up and walking around. He has definitely made a lot of new friends and he always makes a huge effort to remember their names - which of course makes everyone smile. It's great to see him walking around and sitting up in his chair instead of being confined to his bed all the time. Every day we see more and more signs of the old Bryan coming through.

He's come a long way and we're thankful to God for the healing in his life.

This news makes a great start to my day. I am thankful to hear of this progress for Bryan...and it puts a smile on my face too to hear of the friends Bryan is making and charisma he has to make the people around him smile. This is no surprise, as this is one of the many, many reasons so many people love him!

Sending my love to Bryan and to all of the family,
Sherri Cowan (Ellis)

I get up every morning and the first thing I do is turn on the computer to see how you are doing Bryan; it has become my morning ritual. And everytime I read your blog journey, I have tears running down my eyes (you are turning me into a 'big suck' Bryan). I didn't want to tell you this because I wanted to be uplifting, yet I still wanted you to know how much you pull on my heart strings. Since I've met you, you've been like a brother to me (you remind me a bit of the spunk that my little brother had). I am praying for you all the time and for Michelle, your children, and your family. I can't wait for the day when you will sit around and share your experiences with us all. I know that God has a plan for you and I will faithfully pray that He will reveal it to us soon. I love you like a brother Bryan (there, I said it) and I can't wait for you to bug me again. I miss you!
We will continue to pray that God will give you the daily strength and comfort you need to get through each day and we will continue to pray for your family that you will all be reunited very soon. My kids are still praying for you every day Bryan, and Ryan brings all his prayer requests to school.
